Veterans Day Commemorative Ceremony

This year due to COVID-19, a virtual Commemorative Ceremony that honors veterans of the U. S.  Armed Forces and their many sacrifices. Please view the video here: 

Veterans Day Reverse Parade
Wednesday, November 11
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Main Street in Mill Creek
Between 155th Street (the corner of Cold Stone) and 153rd Street (the corner of the former University Bookstore)
 

The pumannequinsblic is invited to drive by and view the display of military memorabilia while remaining in their vehicles. The military memorabilia will be on site to pay tribute to the service of all U.S. military veterans. Display items include: a battlefield cross (boots, rifle, helmet, and dog tags) and a wreath. Additionally, seven military uniforms have been donated by staff and community members to have onsite for viewing during the event, these include:
Military uniforms, from 1994 Army Class A 
WWII Army Class A
WWII USMC Dress Bluemilitary display
WWII Cartridge Belt
WWI Doughboy Army – 38th Division
Navy Dress Blue 
Marine Corps 

Barbara Heidel, a local community member collaborated with local elementary school students and teachers to create picturesstudent drawings and written notes for veterans. Ms. Heidel collected 85 pictures and notes that will be on display at the tent during the Reverse Parade. After the event, the student’s written notes will be delivered to veterans in local nursing facilities.
