Color Me Mine is the world's leading paint-it-yourself ceramics franchise studio chain, with nearly 150 locations worldwide. Founded in 1991, Color Me Mine studios boast hundreds of ceramic items from which to choose, a Design Center featuring 22,000 images, over sixty colors with which to paint, and trained staff members available with friendly tips and guidance. Color Me Mine is well known for its parties, school painting programs and community fundraising opportunities, as well as their unique partnerships with entertainment giants such as Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and The Walt Disney Company.

The Mill Creek location was the first franchise in Washington, opened in 2014 by Erica Friend. Having previously operated her mother’s store in Fresno, Calif., she was already at home in a Color Me Mine studio. After meeting her husband, they moved to Washington to be close to his family and because they loved how beautiful it is here. Since she had practically grown up with Color Me Mine, Friend was starting to miss it, when the Mill Creek location basically picked her.

“I just had my child and was thinking it would be fun to have a Color Me Mine location here,” says Friend. “As it happened, the paint-it-yourself pottery store in Mill Creek Town Center was being sold, and I jumped at the opportunity to make it Color Me Mine.”

Color Me Mine has something for everyone. Projects can be decorative or functional, since everything is food, microwave and dishwasher safe. No appointment is necessary, just walk in and select a project, paint it, and leave it for firing. Go alone for some quiet creative time or with a group for a birthday party, shower, fundraiser, or scout or school activity. Color Me Mine also has a VIP membership for frequent crafters that includes discounts and monthly offers.
